Question
There was a disagreement between my husband and me about household matters, and he swore an oath that I would return the oil I brought from my family, and he cannot afford to buy oil. Can a woman pay the expiation for her husband's oath?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to pay the expiation on his behalf after obtaining his permission for that, and after the violation has been confirmed, and God knows best.
