Atonement for Breaking an Oath
Is it permissible to fast as atonement for breaking an oath instead of paying money?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is not permissible to fast for one who possesses the expiation for an oath, which is twenty Jordanian dinars, and God knows best.
