Atonement for Accidentally Killing One's Child
My husband was driving a car and wanted to cross a street without ensuring the way was clear, resulting in an accident where he was hit by a large truck. Two of our children died in the accident. He was unconscious in the hospital for six months, then he improved. What is required of him? Does he have to make an atonement?

I say, and with God's guidance: There is nothing upon him, rather the expiation is upon the owner of the truck, and God knows best.
