Answer to the One Who Asked About a Girl for Engagement
Is a person sinful for informing a friend about a girl he wants to propose to; by telling him about some of her bad actions, and that she has an illicit relationship with some men; which led his friend to refrain from proposing to her?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible for him to inform about any deviant behavior from her; because his inquiry is a trust, and it must be fulfilled, and if he does not inform him, he fears sin, so as not to wrong him. And God knows best.
