Alerting a Child to a Mistake While in Prayer

Question
In our family, some women raise their voices during prayer while reading or saying Takbir to alert their children to a mistake they might make, and they say that this is permissible according to the Shafi'i school. Is this allowed in our Hanafi school?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Raising the voice in glorification is for men, while women should not raise their voices in reading and glorification. From Sahl ibn Sa'd in Sahih al-Bukhari 6: 26 - 29: "If something happens to you, let the men glorify, and let the women be silent." And in Sahih Muslim 1: 318: "Whoever is disturbed by something in his prayer, let him glorify, for when he glorifies, he will turn to him, and clapping is for women." So, a woman claps not by striking her palms together, but by placing the palm of her right hand on the back of her left hand, which is easier and requires less effort, as mentioned in al-Tahawi 1: 499.
