A Woman Trying on Clothes in a Clothing Store
Is it permissible for a woman to try on clothes she wants to buy in the store? And how do we understand the hadith: "Any woman who removes her clothes outside her husband's house has violated what is between her and Allah Almighty?"
Answer
I say, and with Allah's success: It is permissible for her to try on clothes if it does not involve exposing her private parts to strangers or causing temptation, and the hadith is understood in the context of exposing private parts and temptation. Allah knows best.
