A Woman Traveling to Another Province Without a Mahram
Is it permissible for a woman to travel from one province to another without a mahram for the purpose of education, like someone who lives in Tafila and studies in Amman and goes back and forth every day?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If a woman goes out for a beneficial purpose such as learning, it is permissible for her to go out on the condition that safety is ensured and there is no temptation. If the student is trustworthy, this is allowed; as there is no temptation in Jordan, and God knows best.
