A Woman Hearing Her Divorce
Is it a requirement for the wife to hear the divorce? A person divorced his wife three times while he was inside a restaurant and she was outside on the street, so she did not hear the husband's shout of divorce. Then when they met, he informed her that he had divorced her three times. Did the divorce take effect?

I say, and with God's help: It is not a condition for a woman to hear her husband divorce her; if he divorces her in her presence or absence, it is valid, and God knows best.
