A Woman's Refusal to Have Children Due to Her Illness
Is it permissible for a wife to refuse to have children due to her illness and her fear of it worsening, and because conception would be through IVF, while she tells her husband: go and marry someone else to have children?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The child is the right of both the husband and the wife, and neither of them may prevent the other from their right unless there is a clear excuse. If there is a visible illness that counts as an excuse for abstaining, especially since you say that it can only be done through tubes, and God knows best.
