A Woman's Employment During the Waiting Period
Can a woman whose husband has passed away go out to work, even if she is not compelled to do so during the waiting period?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: It is forbidden for a woman to leave her house during the waiting period except for necessity. If her leaving is for work out of necessity to support herself and her children, it is permissible. However, if there is no necessity, it is not permissible for her to go out. And God knows best.
