A Traveler Who Wiped and Then Stayed

Question
What is the ruling for a traveler who stayed and had wiped over his socks while traveling?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If he completes a day and a night, then he should look: If he is in a state of ritual impurity, he should remove his socks and perform ablution, and if he is not in a state of ritual impurity, washing his feet is sufficient. However, if he does not complete a day and a night, he is allowed to complete the duration of the resident; because he has become a resident. Refer to: Tanweer al-Absar and Al-Durr al-Mukhtar and Rad al-Mukhtar 1: 185, and Al-Hadiyya al-Alaiyya p. 40, and God knows best.
