A person singing songs to himself that he memorized
What is the ruling on a person singing songs from memory that he had memorized, while he no longer listens to songs?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: It is permissible if the words of these songs are not religiously forbidden, such as if they call for desires and the like. It is preferable to repeat the remembrance and the Quran, and God knows best.
