A man left a wife, a mother, five sons, and a daughter
My brother passed away and left behind five children whose mother is divorced. He also left another wife who has a five-year-old daughter from him. The second wife has a list of rights, and he left only an apartment and a small storage room. What are the rights of the other wife and the children, knowing that their mother is still alive? May Allah reward you well.
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The mother receives one-sixth, the second wife receives one-eighth, and the remainder is divided among the children, with the male receiving the share of two females. And God knows best.
