A Frame with Unintelligible Words
A golden frame was given as a gift to my friend from the UAE, claiming it to be Ayat al-Kursi, but the letters in it are incomprehensible. It also comes with a gold chain. What should we do with it? Is it permissible to hang it? We are afraid it might be magic or talismans.
Answer
I say, and with God's success: She should verify what is written in it, even from specialists. If it is the Quran or similar, then it is good and blessed. If it is not, it can be disposed of in a manner she sees fit, and God knows best.
