Zakat on Rental Property
We have an apartment designated for my son, but he needs some time before moving in. Is there Zakat due on its rent?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Zakat is due on its rent if it reaches the nisab along with your private wealth at the time of the completion of the year, and God knows best.
