Wiping over the splint

Question
An eighty-year-old woman broke her arm and had to put on a splint, but she does not agree to wipe over the splint and wants to redo all her prayers, knowing that she suffers from temporary Alzheimer's. What is the ruling on her situation?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible for her to wipe over the applied splint, and to wash or wipe the exposed areas according to her ability, and she is not required to repeat the prayers due to the splint; because they are valid, and these whispers harm their owner, and it is better for her to leave them, and God knows best.
