What the Follower Should Intend When He Wants to Pray in Congregation with the Imam
What should the follower intend when he wants to pray in congregation with the Imam?
Answer
It is sufficient for the follower to intend his prayer and his following, so he intends the obligatory prayer of the time and following the Imam; because he has made himself completely subordinate to the Imam, and subordination is only realized if he prays what the Imam prays.
