I say, with Allah's guidance: She must ensure that water reaches the earring hole. If she believes that the water does not reach without moving it, then it is necessary to move it for the washing to be valid. See: Sharh al-Wiqayah p. 92, and al-Durr al-Mukhtar 1: 104, and Allah knows best.
