The Ruling on the Divorce of an Angry Person
A man is in a state of extreme anger, and he divorced his wife by saying: You are divorced. In this case, does he have to pay a expiation for an oath? And in the case of the husband's severe poverty, what is required of him? Can the wife reveal herself to her husband before the fatwa is issued?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If he acts out of the ordinary by hitting, insulting, or breaking something, then the divorce does not take place, and they should refer to the mufti to confirm this. If the divorce is irrevocable, it will not be revealed to him unless this is confirmed, and God knows best.
