The Ruling on the Difference Between the Intention of the Follower and the Imam
A person, when he entered the mosque for the Maghrib prayer, found the Imam combining Maghrib and Isha, and he started the Isha prayer after finishing the Maghrib. Should he follow him and intend to pray Maghrib, and when he finishes, join him for Isha? And if he does not catch up with him, is it permissible for him to pray Isha alone?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: he should pray Maghrib alone, and he should not combine Isha with them, and God knows best.
