The Ruling on Transitioning from One Verse to Another Not Following It in Prayer

Question
What is the ruling on transitioning from one verse to another? For example, if a person is reciting Surah Yaseen in prayer, and when they reach the verse: {And We have encompassed all things in a clear register} [Yaseen:12], they transition to the verse {And We did not teach him poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not except a reminder and a clear Qur'an} [Yaseen:69].
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is disliked for the one praying to move from one verse to another that does not follow it in the same unit of prayer; due to its contradiction to the order of the Quran, and God knows best.
