The Ruling on Changing Intention in Prayer
Is it permissible to change one's intention during prayer, such as starting with the intention of performing the Witr prayer and then changing the intention during the prayer to pray four rak'ahs of Qiyam, and afterwards praying the Witr?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to change the intention from one prayer to another during the prayer, and God knows best.
