Question
A girl swore that she would not do a certain thing, but she did it, and the oath was in the form of 'By the life of Allah' 'By Your promise, O Lord', what is the ruling on her action?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If the oath is by one of the known attributes of God Almighty, then it is an oath; otherwise, it is not. Therefore, swearing by the life of God is considered an oath, and likewise, swearing by a promise or covenant is also an oath. And God knows best.
