The Ruling on Breaking an Oath
A woman swore not to eat the sweets that her husband buys. She went to visit his sister with him, and he bought a plate of sweets for his sister. Then his sister swore to the wife that she should eat from the sweets, and she ate. Has the wife broken her oath and is she required to atone for it?
Answer
