Question
When I was about 18 years old, I faced many problems, and I made a covenant with Allah that I would not wear pants except for necessity, such as for my husband, sports, or swimming. I have since returned to wearing loose pants and paid the expiation for my oath. Is this sufficient?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: A expiation for the oath is required; for violating the oath, and it is forbidden for you to wear pants at all, even if they are loose, except in front of your husband or your mahrams. And God knows best.
