The Ruling on Aqiqah
Is Aqiqah obligatory, and is one sheep sufficient for a boy?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The aqeeqah is an act of devotion to Allah the Almighty and is not obligatory, and there is no specific number required for males and females, and Allah knows best.
