The Retreat of the Servant
Is freedom a condition for the validity of retreat?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Freedom is not a condition; for the retreat is valid for a servant with the permission of his master. If he vows to retreat and his master prevents him, he must make up for it if he is freed, and God knows best.
