The Remaining Dough on the Nail

Question
What is the ruling for someone who has remnants of dough on their nail and then performs ablution?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is not sufficient; because water does not penetrate the dough, which prevents water from reaching the nail. It is enough for him to remove the dough and wash the nail, and he is not required to repeat the washing. This is different from if there is dirt or filth or a color on his nail that does not prevent water from penetrating, in which case it is sufficient. Refer to: Sharh Al-Wiqayah, pp. 91-92, and God knows best.
