The Recommended Ghusl

Question
What are the situations in which ghusl is recommended?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is recommended to perform ghusl (ritual washing) in the following cases: 1. Ghusl for one who has regained consciousness from insanity, intoxication, or fainting; as narrated by Muslim in his Sahih from Ubaidullah bin Abdullah who said: "I entered upon Aisha and said to her: 'Will you not tell me about the illness of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)?' She said: 'Yes, the Prophet (peace be upon him) became ill and said: 'Are the people praying?' We said: 'No, they are waiting for you, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Put water for me in the basin.' So we did, and he performed ghusl, then he went to lean but fainted, then he regained consciousness and said: 'Are the people praying?' We said: 'No, they are waiting for you, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Put water for me in the basin.' So we did, and he performed ghusl...". 2. Ghusl after washing a deceased person; as narrated by Ibn Majah from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever washes a dead person should perform ghusl." 3. Ghusl for entering Mecca or Medina; as narrated by Muslim in his Sahih from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): "He would not enter Mecca except that he would stay at Dhul-Tuwa until morning and perform ghusl, then enter Mecca during the day, and it is mentioned that the Prophet (peace be upon him) did this." Ghusl is also required for a boy when he reaches the age of maturity, not due to wet dreams. Ghusl is required for a disbeliever when he converts to Islam and is not in a state of major impurity, and after cupping, on the Night of Decree if he sees it, and when standing at Muzdalifah on the morning of the Day of Sacrifice, and upon entering Mina on the Day of Sacrifice, for the Tawaf of visitation, for the prayer of eclipse, for seeking rain, for fear, for darkness, and for strong winds; due to the evidence supporting this.
