The Awrah of a Man in Prayer
Is it necessary for the one praying to cover his shoulder, and is it permissible for him to pray in shorts?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The 'awrah of a man is from the navel to the knee, and the knee is part of the 'awrah. Anything beyond that, if exposed during prayer, does not invalidate it, and God knows best.
