Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is disliked to pray when food that one desires and longs for is present; for it distracts one. The dislike in obligatory prayers is when time is tight; otherwise, one should prioritize the food, and there is no dislike in that. It was narrated by Anas, may God be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "When dinner is served and the prayer is established, begin with dinner," in Sahih Muslim 1: 392. See: Hashiyat al-Tahthawi, p. 191, and God knows best.
