How to Calculate Zakat
I own 95 grams of 21-carat gold and 100 grams of 24-carat gold for adornment. What is the amount of zakat due on it if the price of a gram of 24-carat gold is 30 dinars? How do I pay it?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: You must purify all the gold you own by giving 2.5% of its value by weight, and God knows best.
