I say, and with God's success: The original ruling regarding insurance is permissibility in all its forms, and those who prohibit it are narrowing what is wide for Muslims. The contemporary jurist Mustafa al-Zarqa has issued a fatwa permitting it, and health insurance is one of these permissible forms. And God knows best.
