Question
I want to perform the sacrifice this year, and if Allah makes it easy for me, I will do it in my husband's village. It will be distributed to people we mostly do not know, and the village is inhabited by two Sunni groups and another Ismaili group. It is possible that most of the sacrifice will go to Ismaili people. What is the ruling on this?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible for the one who offers the sacrifice to do with his sacrifice as he wishes, except for selling it, whether he eats it entirely or distributes it entirely. It is recommended to divide it into three parts: for himself, for his relatives, and for the poor. It is preferable to give it to the poor who are Sunnis. And God knows best.
