Distributing Zakat al-Fitr in Packages
Is it permissible to collect Zakat al-Fitr from more than one person and purchase shopping vouchers from one of the malls or charity packages and distribute them?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible for you to collect the Zakat al-Fitr and distribute it for the benefit of the poor; because it is permissible to pay it in value, and God knows best.
