Conditions for the Obligation of Zakat
A man has a grocery store worth three thousand dinars, is there Zakat on it or on its profits, knowing that its profits are not enough for household expenses?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Zakat is obligatory for anyone who possesses the nisab, which is (100) grams of gold, and a year has passed. If the goods are worth that, then zakat is due on them, and God knows best.
