Changing the Intention of Charity
I intended to give a certain amount as charity to one needy person, then I changed my mind and decided to give it to another needy person. Is that permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The intention does not bind its owner unless it is accompanied by action; thus, the intention becomes meaningless without action, and it is permissible to change it based on what the owner sees as beneficial. And God knows best.
