Question
A woman who does not have a mahram, as her father and husband have passed away, and her brother and children are traveling, what is the ruling on her traveling for Umrah, or any other place without any of her mahrams?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is not permissible for her to travel for Umrah without a mahram. As for traveling to another place, the principle is that it is not permissible unless there is a necessity and she feels safe for herself, and there is no temptation involved. And God knows best.
