A Matter of Inheritance
A woman died leaving behind a brother, four daughters, four grandsons, and four granddaughters. She left eighty dunams of land. How should it be distributed among them?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Two-thirds of the inheritance goes to the four daughters, and the remainder goes to the sons and daughters of the son, with the male receiving the share of two females, and there is nothing for the brother. And God knows best.
