If I am paying Zakat to students of knowledge, meaning I am helping them with their tuition fees, is it permissible for me to deposit the amount into their university accounts if they have not objected, or must I give them the amount in cash directly, or through a receipt to the organization so that it counts as Zakat? Should the delivery be in cash directly? Knowing that most of them have registration deadlines perhaps in June, they might spend the money on anything else, and the universities do not mind if we deposit in the student's account in advance for the next semester?
