The Ruling on Closing the Mosque
What is the ruling on closing the mosque?
Answer
It is disliked to close the mosque; because it resembles preventing prayer, except if it is closed out of fear for its belongings, then it is not disliked, and this is what is fatwa'd. See: Al-Durr Al-Mukhtar 1: 441.
