The Performance of Charity for Non-Muslims
Is it permissible to give Zakat al-Fitr to non-Muslims?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible; and the conversion of the recipient is not a condition for the permissibility of giving Zakat al-Fitr, so it is permissible to give it to the People of the Covenant. See: Bada'i' al-Sana'i' 2: 74-75, and God knows best.
