Leaving the I'tikaf out of Fear for Oneself
What is the ruling for someone in I'tikaf who fears for himself or his wealth from the arrogant and leaves the mosque?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's success: His I'tikaf is not invalidated, even if it is obligatory. He can move to another mosque and complete his I'tikaf. See: Al-Mabsut 3: 122, and Al-Tabeen 1: 351, and Allah knows best.
