Question
Is the moisture taken from some of the ablution parts sufficient for wiping the head in ablution?
Answer
It is not sufficient and does not count as ablution; the obligatory wiping of the head in ablution is achieved by the wet hand touching the part, either with moisture taken from the vessel or with remaining moisture on the hand after washing one of the washed parts. However, the moisture taken from some of his parts is not sufficient, whether that part is washed or wiped. The same applies to wiping the footwear and splint. See: Sharh Al-Wiqayah p.76, and Al-Sa'ayah 1: 76.
