Question
If a fasting person treats a head wound during the day in Ramadan?
Answer
If the medicine truly reaches his stomach or brain, his fast is invalidated, and he must make it up, whether the medicine is wet or dry, as long as he knows it has reached his stomach or brain. However, if the medicine is dry and he does not know it has reached, then he does not have to make it up, as mentioned in Bada'i al-Sana'i 2: 93.
