He Fainted or Went Insane While in I'tikaf
What is the ruling for someone who fainted or went insane during their i'tikaf?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If the fainting or insanity lasts for a time that prevents him from fasting due to the impossibility of intention, then his i'tikaf is invalidated, and he must make up the i'tikaf once he regains consciousness. And God knows best.
