Question
Is it permissible for a husband to give his zakat to his wife?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: A husband does not give his wife zakat, nor does a wife give her husband zakat; because the benefits are interconnected between them. The same ruling applies to the original zakat giver, even if they are higher in relation, like a father or grandfather, and to their offspring, even if they are lower, like a son or grandson. It is not permissible due to the connection of benefits among them, and God knows best.
