Question

A person volunteers alone to collect zakat from people and currently works about 3 to 4 hours for this. Is it permissible for him to take a portion of the zakat and use it to feed people (a feast) and consider this amount as part of those who work on its collection?

Answer

I say, with Allah's guidance: It is not permissible for him to take a share of the money unless he has an agreement with the state or a specific institution, and Allah knows best.
