Dislike of Speaking While Relieving Oneself

Question
What is the ruling on speaking while relieving oneself?
Answer
What is the ruling on speaking while relieving oneself? The answer: Speaking while relieving oneself is disliked for the sake of cleanliness; because the angels keep away from him in this situation hoping that he does not speak, and if he speaks, it burdens them; because they then return to him to write down (his deeds) and are harmed by the foul odor, which leads to the neglect of honoring them, thus it is disliked. For this reason, it is said: do not clear your throat, do not spit, and do not blow your nose in the restroom, and the narration is in "Al-Qanīyah". Ibn Umar  reported that the Prophet  said: "Beware of undressing, for with you is one who does not leave you except at the time of relieving oneself, and when a man has intercourse with his wife, so honor them and be modest with them," in Sunan Al-Tirmidhi 5: 112, and Al-Tirmidhi said: this is a strange hadith that we only know from this source. Its chain includes Lyth - who is Ibn Abi Sulaym - and the scholar said in "Al-Taqreeb": "He is truthful, but he mixed up in the end, and his hadith became indistinguishable, so it was abandoned." See: Irwa' Al-Ghalil 1: 102, and Allah knows best.
