Question
In the book "Opening the Door of Care": "And he wipes a quarter of his head," he said, may Allah have mercy on him: "And wiping is the act of the wet hand touching the limb, either moisture taken from the vessel, or moisture remaining after washing the limb from the washed parts, not moisture remaining in his hand after wiping the wiped limb, or taken from the washed or wiped limb." What is the reason for the distinction between his statement: "moisture remaining after washing the limb from the washed parts" in allowing wiping with this moisture, and "or taken from the washed or wiped limb"?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Because the remaining moisture is not used, it is permissible, and what is taken from the washed member is used, so it is not permissible, and God knows best.
